Donna has been an art teacher for 47 years. First in Rockland Public Schools and then at several art centers, where she taught pastel painting and workshops to adults. She finds joy in having the opportunity to work with so many kids and adults as well as inspiring them to express themselves through art.
The wonder of nature and the seasons, the weather, the ocean, and the transitions of our beautiful landscape have always been an inspiration for Donna’s artwork. She is especially moved by those places where air, water, and earth meet and those moments when nature blesses us with visual and spiritual images that take our breath away.…the rising of the sun, snowflakes falling from the heavens, the crashing of waves during a storm or their soft lapping of the shoreline on a calm summer morning. They remind us of the power and beauty of nature and the importance of appreciating each moment in our lives. May you find joy in both the permanence and transience of Mother Nature.
