Laura Fait Harvey

From Marshfield (Green Harbor), MA
As a mixed media artist, Laura creates intricately layered collages on a variety of substrates-from birch panels to hollow-core doors. To intuitively build each piece, she draws from a unique collection of media and vintage ephemera, creating layers using paint, papers (mostly handpainted), acrylic mediums, graphite, photo transfers and more. Laura derives a storyteller’s satisfaction watching each piece evolve during the creative process-from the intial blur of an idea to a completed visual.
