As a child, Mary found herself enamored with two worlds – the palette of colors and the depth of nature. Little did she know this combination would become the foundation for her art practice. With hard work to finish university studies in Earth Science, it was an art class that delivered serendipity. What started as just another homework assignment ended up being her first sold painting.
With accolades including 1st in the National Show at Cape Cod Arts Center in Barnstable, featured in solo exhibits both at Boston’s State House and John Curtis Library, multiple placements at the Pembroke Arts Festival as well as the North River Arts Festival, and consecutive years of receiving the Hanover Excellence Award (along with gracing the annual cover of the town’s report), Mary is proud to support and be supported by the art community in South shore. Fun fact, the logo for the new Hanover Crossing was based on one of her paintings.
