“I value the Frame Center as a cornerstone for local artists to connect and build community. Beyond the friendships formed there, it is an invaluable resource for professional development as so many of us are going there preparing for and talking about our current and upcoming creative projects.”

– Beth Bailey

Beth Bailey is a community arts educator and the founder of the nonprofit Creative Pathways, where she focuses on highlighting the many ways to live a creative life. Trained as a painter, with a decade focusing on the world of ceramics, she transitioned back to painting in 2026. Her new work explores the landscape by way of the garden, which is especially intriguing to her as her garden goes dormant during the winter months. As the host of the Let’s Chat Creative Pathways podcast, she remains dedicated to fostering collaborative art experiences within her local community and beyond. She lives and works in Whitman, Massachusetts, where she continues to develop her residency programs and new studio work.

In Episode 29 of Inside the Frame, host Dave Petty talks with Beth Bailey, the artist and educator behind Creative Pathways—a project dedicated to engaging the community through art. Beth wears many hats—potter, teacher, window painter, and more—but her true passion lies in making creativity accessible to everyone.

A major focus of the conversation is her Sketchbook Project, a unique initiative that transforms sketches into greeting cards in an unexpected way. Beth shares the story behind the project, how it connects artists with the community, and how it fits into her larger mission of inspiring creative expression.
