*Shofuan, the museum’s tea hut, was built in Kyoto, Japan. The ceremony is hosted by tea masters from Urasenke Boston.

Join us for a demonstration of the Japanese tradition of Chado, the way of tea.

Museum co-founders Carl and Edith Weyerhaeuser believed that this tradition is one of the best ways to understand Japanese culture.

The ceremony is held outdoors, in the museum’s tea hut and garden.
