The Duxbury Art Complex Museum presents
Robert Neuman: Ship to Paradise
On Display now in the Founders Room · Through September 6, 2026
In commemoration of Robert Neuman’s 100th birthday, the Art Complex Museum presents Ship to Paradise (Paradise Found), 1983—a theme rooted in medieval allegory that Neuman explored throughout his career, reflecting the foibles and folly of man.
Informed by his knowledge of seafaring and shipbuilding, Neuman’s fantastical compositions are a metaphor for the human condition and man’s quest for a better life. The print is on view in the Founders Room, acquired by purchase from the artist in 2014.
